While I was sitting in a work meeting on Monday I felt the baby kick from the inside and the outside of my stomach. It was really cool to feel him kick my hand at the same time feeling him kicking my insides and I was excited because I figured my husband would finally be able to feel him kick, which he did on Tuesday night. He did it a few times in a row and his daddy was so excited. It was a memorable moment. Pretty soon it will be old hat, but for now it's new and exciting. I love being able to feel him move around mostly because I'm paranoid and I like having the reassurance that everything is going ok in there.
Monday evening I popped in a Jazzersize pregnancy video and did cardio for an entire hour. This is huge for me. I haven't done any cardio besides going up and downstairs in months and certainly not for that long. I was a little worried because I hadn't really been working out since before I got pregnant for a few different reasons and I've had pink discharge whenever I exerted myself recently. I've found that pregnancy videos are all pretty easy, which is saying a lot because I'm super out of shape, and I didn't really sweat or get winded at all and so far no pink discharge.
I did wake up Tuesday morning with a bit of a sore throat which has seemingly turned into a cold. It seems that my new workout routine is once again on hold. Maybe I really am allergic to exersize. Luckily I was sick a couple times during my first trimester and know what cold medicine I can take. Unfortunately I can only take it every four hours and I need another dosage after only two. I came into work a little late today so I could sleep in hoping maybe that would help, I didn't want to use eight whole hours of sick leave. My husband had to leave for class at 10 AM so he dropped me off on the way to school and even made me gluten-free German pancakes for breakfast after turning our elliptical around which is really heavy. He's the best.
Last night we rearranged our living room after picking up a free office chair from a friend at church. I think it looks better. It's hard to tell because we still have all this extra furniture hanging out in our living room until we can get rid of it. We hadn't changed the layout of the living room since we moved in 2 1/2 yrs ago so it's a big change for us. We have space for the desk now and are reserving a spot for the glider we're going to buy one day.
Next step is putting together the organizer and drawers we bought for the baby. Probably this weekend since Husband has class. We need to do this soon because my in-laws are sending a box of baby clothes and we'll need somewhere to put them! He's going to be so spoiled :)
