I had my six week check up on Monday and I'm good to go! Our trip to the doctor was Q's and my first trip together by ourselves. Quen wasn't too happy all day. He had been gassy and hadn't gotten a lot of sleep and it was freakishly warm out that day and he got hot as we walked around the apartment parking lot looking for the car.
That evening I had milk all over me so I decided to have a bath and bring Q in the tub with me. We had done this a couple times before and he really liked it because he can get more in the water and he isn't as cold as when we have him in his little tub. He was having fun swimming around and then the great yellow cloud of poo descended upon us. I can handle sitting in a little bit of baby poop, but this was disgusting. There was so much. My husband took out the baby and washed him off in the bathroom sink while I showered and cleaned up the poo.
While he was in the sink Quentin peed all over the vanity, the floor, the toilet and my glasses that were sitting on the vanity. After we were both cleaned up I was holding him and he puked all down the front of me so I had to change my clothes and clean up again. It was awesome.
Yesterday I had to change his clothes three times. Once was when we went to Home Depot to pick out the new vanities for our new condo. Of course as soon as we walked in he woke up and was hungry and I forgot to bring the bottle of milk I had pumped earlier so we decided to make it a short trip. I pulled him out of his seat and noticed that he was soaked and had to carry him around the store like that. He did ok until the end and I ended up breast feeding him in the car for a bit to tide him over until we got home.
I'm feeling a bit better now and decided to get out more. Yesterday we went to Target to run some errands which was kind of fun. I've been in a bit of a funk. Not sad so much as ambivalent. I'm hoping the combo of more sleep, getting out more, and exercise will do the trick.
I'll get more sleep as time goes on and Q gets on a better schedule and doesn't need to eat so often. The weather is slowly starting to get warmer and we'll definitely be going outside more. I just have to get the motivation to exercise. I feel like I'm moving around and lifting all the time so I haven't felt like I've just been sitting around. I think going to a class will help. I have a hard time exercising on my own on a consistent basis.
The condo is supposed to be done by the 23rd and we're moving out of here by the 30th this month. I'm so excited to see the finished product and have more room for all our stuff.

Good luck with the exercise. It is hard to get back in to it after you spend so much time doing all other things with and for baby.
Just getting outside will probably help a lot. A little sunshine and fresh air EVERY DAY goes a long way. Also drinking lots of water (in case you need ANOTHER reminder) helps!
